and the President of NIDA
Visit of UiTM Malaysia representatives
at the Matej Bel University
The Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia, prof. Ferdinand Daňo, received the President of National Institute of Development Administration, Thailand, prof. Kamphol Panyagometh. The meeting was held on July 1st 2019. The President of NIDA visited the University of Economics in Bratislava within the training "Soft skills for academics and research assessment managers in the 21st century" that was held between July 1st -|5th, 2019 within the REPESEA project at the University of Economics in Bratislava. The meeting provided a platform to discuss sustainability of the REPESEA project outcomes at both partner institutions.
On 4 July 2019, delegation from the Universiti Teknologi MARA in Malaysia visiting Matej Bel University (UMB) in Banská Bystrica. The visit received by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Lifelong Learning doc. Mgr. KatarÃna Chovancová, PhD., was prepared and implemented within the REPESEA project (Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education), which is coordinated by Professor Orviská for the UMB. The outcome of the meeting is also a proposal to conclude a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities, covering a wide range of possible academic cooperation.

REPESEA Training at UEBA - Soft Skills for Academic and Research Assessment Managers in the 21st Century
On July 4, 2019, signature of the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between University of Economics in Bratislava and Universiti Teknologi MARA to enhance the sustainability of the cooperation between REPESEA partner institutions. The commitment of the partner institutions to the cooperation creates good potential for MoU creating the framework for more fruitful and deeper collaboration between these institutions in such areas as the student and staff exchange, joint PhD supervision, joint research and more.
REPESEA training in transferable skills for partner country institution academics took place at the University of Economics in Bratislava between 1st and 5th July 2019. The UEBA trainer, Dr. Peter Rusinak applied hands on approach including many practical exercises focused at the needs of the participants. The training provided perfect opportunity for training in such areas as Time Management, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Communication Skills. Within the Social Program the participants took part in several events, such as a walking tour of Bratislava Old Town, official dinner and a boat trip to Devin Castle.

Capacity Building in Higher Education Programme (CBHE)
Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education support the modernisation, accessibility and internationalisation of higher education in Partner countries. These projects build on the success of the Alfa, Edu-link and Tempus programmes.
The projects aim to encourage cooperation between the EU and Partner Countries and support eligible Partner Countries in addressing challenges in the management and governance of their higher education institutions. This includes improving the quality of higher education, developing new and innovative education programmes, modernising higher education systems through reform policies as well as fostering cooperation across different regions of the world through joint initiatives.
