The Importance of Journal Selection in Publication

Publication of manuscripts from a study for most academics is commonplace. Because the publication of this manuscript is a requirement to obtain a degree, especially in the master and doctoral education strata. Ability to adjust journals in accordance with the manuscript that has been done so that it can be published in the journal. Responding to this, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) held a training program "Publishing in Academic Outlet" on 24-28 June 2019. This program is a grant from Erasmus + which is a program to improve the quality of human resources in tertiary institutions in the Southeast Asia region. UII is the organizer of the Erasmus + REPESEA program in Indonesia together with Universitas Gadjah Mada.

The Fifth Series of REPESEA Transferable Skills Training for Researchers: “Critical Thinking and Using Technology in Academic Research”

Universitas Gadjah Mada represented by Master of Science and Doctoral Program Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) held the last series of Transferable Skills Training for Researchers. The program is a series of collaboration partnerships between the Research Performance at South East Asian Universities (REPESEA) supported by Erasmus+ through Capacity Building in Higher Education for the assessment and improvement of the research performance of consortium members. Carrying the theme “Critical Thinking, Digital Technology Skills for Research, and Effective Teaching Methods”, the training took place with a full day system for five days, which was April 8-12 2019.

ERASMUS + REPESEA Module 3 Transferable Skills Training for Researcher with the Theme “Research Projects” was held at UGM.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) held the third series of six training modules in the Transferable Skills Training for Researcher. As the theme of the delivered module is “Development and Management of Research Projects”, the trainer in this third module is Professor Dr. Rosmimah Mohd Roslin from Arshad Job Graduate Business School, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. This Training was held for five days from 25-29 March 2019 in the Lippo MD FEB UGM room with a full day system which is from 08.00-16.30 and the whole program uses English.

UGM is the Host of the First Training of the Training in Transferable Skills Series Erasmus+ REPESEA

​Undergoing the third year of the REPESEA collaboration held by Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) represented by the Master of Science and Doctoral Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (MD FEB UGM), running a series of Training in Transferable Skills . The first series was held at UGM on 11-15 March 2019. This training were led by two presenters, namely, Professor Juraj Nemec, Ph.D and his assistant Dr. Jan Hunady from Matej Bel University, Slovakia.

The Impact of Research on Public Problems

Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) together with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a series of Trainings in Transferable Skills, as part of Erasmus + Repesea activities. The activity held this time consisted of several module trainings, one of which was Evaluating Research Outputs and Researchers, and Non-Academic Impact on March 18-22 2019, which conducted on the UII campus. This module training is led by Noraiza Mohd Zamil, Ph.D. from International Business School Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

​Second workshop has finished, in a series of the Training in Transferable Skills events. The topic reviewed in these five-days workshop is Research Project, presented by Prof. Dr. Rosmimah Mohd Roslin from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Enthusiastic participants were attending the workshop. UGM will continue to host the next workshop/training series on the topic of presentation and communication skills on the 1-5 April 2019.
